THANKS GOD IT’S NENDENI WEEK !!

Theme:SERVE THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART

Call to Worship:
Colossians 3:23
“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men”

Readings:
1. Chronicles 28:1-10
2. Colossians 3:22-25

Our Nendeni Week 2026 Theme calls the Church to a deeper vision of service:

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the lord…. you are serving the lord Christ (Colossians 3:23-24).

I Chronicles 28:9

David, at the end of his life, gathered the leaders of Israel and charged his son Solomon with an important responsibility: to serve God faithfully and build the temple.David reminded Solomon that God is not interested merely in outward actions; He looks at the heart.True service begins with a personal knowledge of God and a wholehearted commitment to him.

David emphasizes two qualities of faithful service:
1.A wholehearted devotion – serving God with undivided heart.

2.A willing mind -Serving God joyfully, willingly, not out of pressure or obligation.

Colossians 3:22-25

Paul teaches every believer to work sincerely, not just when people are watching, but as those serving Christ himself.Whatever task we do – whether in church, at work place, at school or at our home, we should do it with all our heart because our true master is the lord. Many people serve only when they are recognized or appreciated. However God’s servant remain faithful even when no one notices because they know their reward comes from God.
Vs 23, Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the lord, not for human masters.

Lessons for us today:

1.Know God personally -Acknowledge God as our father for us to serve effectively.

2.Serve with a whole heart
-God desires complete devotion not divided loyalty knowing our service is motivated by love of God rather than duty alone.

3.Be faithful in every assignment.
-God values our faithfulness more than our position.

4.Remember that God sees the heart.
-people see our actions, but God sees our motives, let our service be sincere and pleasing to God.

5.Looking forward to God’s reward.
-Human recognition may fade, but God never forgets faithful service. To those who serve Christ faithfully will receive an inheritance from the lord.

May the lord help us to serve him with wholehearted devotion and a willing mind in his ministry, in our family, in our work places, in the large community for his glory.
